YOUTH PROGRAMS

SCTC sponsors a track and field program and a cross country program. Both programs emphasize physical conditioning and developing good sportsmanship. The overall goal of these programs is to foster joy for physical activity. We welcome young athletes of all abilities, from novice to competitive. Currently included in the spring track and field program are: hurdles, long jump, relays, obstacle courses, and  plastic javelins. The fall cross country program emphasizes off-road running.

TRACK AND FIELD

We welcome ALL children between the ages of 7 and 14 who would like to participate. All we require is a good attitude and willingness to participate and follow the rules so we all stay safe and have fun. Running, jumping, and throwing is good for everyone, from novice athletes to those who desire to compete. Along with our track and field activities, we offer an advanced running program for experienced athletes with Coach Javier Naranjo. Our track and field activities are rigorous but also inclusive. We can adapt to a variety of needs.
